Carbon management software
NetNada builds carbon management software for businesses. It measures scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions across operations and supply chains, then helps companies report against them and identify lower-carbon suppliers, without spreadsheets.
Afonso was born in Portugal, grew up in Uruguay, and trained as an environmental engineer at UNSW. Working as a sustainability consultant, he watched manual carbon accounting hold businesses back, and built NetNada to automate it. As he puts it, the first step to reducing your carbon footprint is understanding how big the shoe is. He also co-founded Climate Crew, now past a thousand members.
Lochie studied property economics at UTS and co-founded JAR Aerospace in 2016, a Sydney company building unmanned aircraft for heavy industry. He was also founding River Rangers, a charity based in Kolkata, when he and Afonso landed on the carbon reporting problem. With a background in business sustainability and corporate strategy, Lochie turns climate regulation into something a CFO can actually work with.
When he was consulting, Afonso did this work by hand so he knows exactly where the hours disappear. Lochie knows how to sell to teams facing mandatory disclosure. That's the split: Afonso knows where the time goes, Lochie knows who'll pay to get it back.
