Hospitality operations software
Restoke builds back-of-house software for hospitality operators. It manages inventory, purchasing, food costing, invoicing and supplier workflows, giving restaurant teams real-time visibility over margin and cost control.
Assaf spent more than 15 years running restaurants, which he calls one of the most difficult businesses to manage from a margins perspective. He co-founded Restoke in Melbourne to create a technology solution to the problems facing restaurant owners. At Restoke he leads commercials and GTM, closing deals first with independent restaurants and now with multi-site groups across the US and Australia.
Ken is a computer scientist who works in machine learning and natural language processing. He studied computer science and took an MBA at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Ken worked in research and solutions architecture in Israel, and wrote a technology column for Haaretz. In Melbourne he joined the core innovation team at carsales.com.au and helped build its Ryvuss search engine. He co-founded Xrosswork, then Restoke, where he is chief technology officer.
Hospitality operators are sceptical of software sold by people who have never worked a service. Assaf ran venues for years and built version one himself. He and Ken understand the problem and can build the solution like few others.
